The Accountancy Recruiters provides recruitment services, and is the data controller for the personal data collected through this site. This page explains what we collect, why, and your rights over it.
This site is built and hosted on Redsun, which handles the technology and processes that data on The Accountancy Recruiters' instructions.
What we collect
• Contact details you share (name, email, phone) when you apply, submit a CV, or get in touch.
• Application and CV content you provide for roles.
• How you use this site: the pages you view, where you click and scroll, how long you spend, whether a form field gave you trouble (never what you typed), how quickly pages loaded, and any errors the site produced. Redsun measures this for us under an anonymous visitor reference kept in your browser; it is never joined to your name unless you fill in a form, and it is not shared with Google (see Cookies).
How we use it
We use your data to match you to roles, respond to enquiries, and provide our recruitment services. We do not sell your personal data.
When you apply for a role, software checks your CV and cover letter against the requirements in the job advert, to help us read your application properly and quickly. It makes no decisions about you: a person reads every application, and nothing is rejected automatically.
Lawful basis & retention
We process your data on the basis of legitimate interest and, where required, consent. What you send through this website is deleted from it 24 months after you last registered, applied or contacted us, or 28 days after we decide not to take it further, whichever comes first. Anything we copy into our recruitment database is kept only as long as needed for the purposes above, then deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, or delete your data, or to withdraw consent, at any time. To do so, contact us using the details on our Contact page.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to run the site and, with your consent, Google Analytics cookies. The site's own measurement sets no cookies: it keeps an anonymous visitor reference in your browser's storage, which is not shared with anyone. You can decline non-essential cookies.
