Tax Director – Top 100 Firm | Cheltenham | Up to £125,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Tax Director to join a Top 100 accountancy firm in Cheltenham, taking a lead role across both corporate and private client tax.

This is a broad, senior position for someone who wants genuine influence - over clients, the team, and the direction of the tax practice. You'll work closely with the partners on complex advisory work while also having scope to develop the offering and grow the business.

What the role involves:

– Leading corporate tax advisory work including business structuring, transactions and M&A support
– Private client tax across high net worth individuals, family wealth, trusts and estates
– Cross-discipline work where corporate and personal interests meet — exits, shareholder planning, remuneration
– Managing compliance delivery across both streams
– Developing and mentoring the tax team
– Contributing to business development and building your own referral network

What we're looking for:

– CTA qualified (ACA/ACCA considered depending on experience)
– Strong technical background across both corporate and private client disciplines
– Proven at senior manager or director level in practice
– A business developer as well as a technical expert
– Cheltenham-based or able to commute regularly

Salary up to £125,000. Partner pathway available.
