About the Role
The Role:
As an Audit Assistant Manager in the Corporate Audit team, you'll lead teams and manage teams on various audit assignments throughout the Gloucester & Cheltenham area.

- Adhering to deadlines, promptly notifying the partner of potential problems on each assignment.
- Identifying areas where other experts in the firm can provide relevant services to address client business needs.
- Managing work in progress and billing on client assignments.
- Undertaking additional duties as reasonably required.
- Highly desirable to have experience working with complex groups, reporting structures, and liaising with component auditors.
- Managing and conducting statutory audits, actively participating in all audit stages from planning to completion.
- Demonstrating initiative and assuming responsibility for audit management and team coordination to ensure completion within the agreed budget.
- Principal client contact during on-site fieldwork.
- Managing on-site teams, aiding in team supervision and development.
- Supervising on-site audit teams, reviewing Associates' work, and assisting Senior Audit Managers in project management and client liaison.
- Reporting to a Senior Manager on large, complex audit assignments alongside other Assistant Managers, while also managing a small portfolio of clients as a manager.
- Executing work profitably and on time, adhering to professional standards and satisfying clients and audit senior managers.
- Supporting the team in delivering a quality audit timetable and providing insightful comments for client reports.
- Contributing to a continuous improvement ethos within the team.
- Managing and leading assurance and risk management projects, liaising with clients and preparing client reports.
- ICAEW, ACCA, ICAS
- Experience working for a reputable accountancy firm in the UK
