About the Role

Audit Manager – Make Your Impact in a Mission-Led Audit Practice

Not-for-Profit clients. Real purpose. Real progression.

This isn’t just another Audit Manager role. It’s a chance to join a firm where your clients are doing meaningful work—and so are you.

This firm has built a reputation for its strength in the not-for-profit sector. Charities, education institutions, social enterprises—you’ll be working with clients whose work changes lives. And as they enter their next growth phase, they’re looking for someone who can step into a key leadership role and help shape what comes next.

Here’s the story.

The team is growing. Not because of churn—quite the opposite. This is the kind of place where people stay. The culture is collaborative, supportive, and ambitious—but without the burn-out mentality you find elsewhere. People progress here. They get listened to. They lead.

They’re looking for an Audit Manager who gets what it means to balance quality delivery with building lasting client relationships. Someone who can mentor, motivate, and manage. Someone who can walk into a boardroom and talk strategy—and then support a junior team member to hit their goals.

You’ll take ownership of a high-quality client portfolio, primarily in the charity and education sectors. If you’re excited by the idea of working with values-led organisations and making a visible impact, this is your lane.

Why this could be your next move:
  • You’ll manage a well-balanced portfolio, with a strong pipeline of mission-led clients
  • You’ll work directly with partners and senior leaders who genuinely invest in their teams
  • You’ll mentor and develop junior staff, shaping the future of the team
  • You’ll spot advisory opportunities—and be supported to run with them
  • You’ll enjoy a clear route to Senior Manager and beyond, without bureaucracy holding you back

You’ll be a great fit if you:
  • Are ACA/ACCA qualified with strong audit experience in practice
  • Have worked with not-for-profits or are keen to get more involved in the sector
  • Bring sharp technical knowledge, including Charities SORP (or are willing to master it)
  • Want to do more than “tick the box” audit—you’re focused on relationships, impact, and improvement
  • Are confident with CaseWare (desirable) and balancing competing deadlines without dropping the ball

Location / Flexibility:
Hybrid working is standard, with a balance of office, home, and client site time tailored to your preferences and portfolio needs. The team is London-based, but they welcome conversations with strong candidates open to commuting in part-time.

Want to explore this further or need a better sense of cultural fit? Let’s talk.
