The Role:
 
As Assistant Manager in the Personal Tax team, you’ll take on a pivotal leadership role, managing two associates while overseeing a portfolio of personal tax clients. Your focus will be on high-quality compliance work, supporting junior staff, and being a key part of the wider function’s growth.
 
While the team is embracing automation, you won’t need prior experience in this area—just a willingness to work in a forward-thinking environment.
 
What You’ll Be Doing:

• Leading on compliance work, including self-assessment tax returns and related reporting
• Supervising and developing two junior team members
• Working closely with senior leadership to support the wider strategic goals of the team
• Staying engaged with clients throughout the compliance process—this isn’t a back-office-only role
• Embracing new systems and automation tools being introduced across the department

What You’ll Need:

• ATT qualified – this is essential
• Strong experience in personal tax compliance
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior team members
• A proactive mindset and willingness to be part of a team that’s modernising the traditional tax workflow
• Strong communication skills and a client-focused approach
